On Tuesday 3rd September Broadland District Council carried out their food hygiene inspection at Cawston Park. The food hygiene inspector was impressed with what they observed and highly commended the food hygiene practices at Cawston Park. The result of this inspection led to the Catering Team maintaining the 5-star food hygiene rating. Therefore, leaving the entire team smiling from ear to ear with the results of their commitment and hard work.
Head Chef Simon Evans, (pictured), was thrilled with the result of the inspection and stated “We are very pleased with the outcome of this inspection. Therefore, I am very grateful to my team and fellow colleagues for ensuring we maintain the highest standards when it comes to food hygiene”
Maintaining the standard
Going forward, the Catering Team are working with the Dietician, Nursing and Therapy teams on the implementation of a brand new menu. Director of Operations, Sel Akman commented, “The team have been very working hard on the review of the menus. Of course, there is a big emphasis placed on ensuring the menus are nutritionally balanced. However, it is also important that there is plenty of choice for patients. From speaking with some of the patients, I know they are pleased with the choices on offer. So for us, this is the most important thing”.
