Please be assured that during these unprecedented times we are doing everything to maintain the safety of our patients, staff and the wider public.

Patient Safety at the Jeesal Group

Patient safety at the Jeesal Group and within Cawston Park is a very important part of fulfilling our company's vision. We have effective policies and procedures in place, together with strong leadership to guide teams to deliver a high quality service.

What is Positive Behaviour Support?

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is the recommended approach for working with people with a learning disability and who display distressed behaviours. Here at Cawston Park we have been using PBS for many years, with training delivered to all support staff in the theory and practical application.

How we are encouraging more talking at Cawston Park

Back in January, Cawston Park's Speech and Language team launched the ‘TALK’ campaign. This campaign was all about documenting when staff talk and create an opportunity to communicate with our service users.

Clive Bugg Retires

At the end of last month, we bid a fond farewell to Clive Bugg, who decided that the time had come for him to retire.

Clive has worked for Jeesal for over 8 years in various senior positions, including Group Senior Director of Quality Assurance, Human Resources and Corporate Governance, and most recently Hospital Director at Cawston Park.

Introducing - The Cawston Park Choir

It's confession time. How many of us sing in the shower? Or even in the car? And why do we do this? Because singing is fun. But it also has a lot of other benefits, including helping with the body's cardiovascular system, and it's cathartic, meaning it provides an outlet for our feelings.

January - A time for reflection and resolutions

January is a bit of a funny month, isn't it? It's cold, it's dark and it seems to go on for-ever! Which is why it is often a good opportunity to reflect on the year that has just passed and to start making some plans for the year ahead.
